Product Details

Vanadium removal agent is a functional reagent based on aluminum. It reacts chemically with vanadium elements in the aluminum melt through the reducibility of aluminum, converting vanadium impurities into precipitates or easily separable compounds, thereby achieving the purpose of purifying the aluminum melt. Its core principle is to use aluminum as a reducing agent, preferentially forming high-melting-point or insoluble products with vanadium, which are removed through processes such as solidification and slagging, in order to reduce the vanadium content in aluminum products and improve purity.

Main advantages:

Efficient vanadium removal: Through the strong reducibility of aluminum, vanadium can be specifically reduced from aluminum liquid to precipitate, achieving high removal efficiency and significantly reducing the vanadium content in aluminum liquid.

Strong applicability: It can be adapted to different aluminum liquid compositions and production scenarios, especially for high-end aluminum processing fields that are sensitive to vanadium content, meeting the downstream deep processing needs.

Usage:

Usually, under an inert gas or nitrogen atmosphere, the aluminum liquid to be purified is heated to 720℃ -760℃. Depending on the amount of vanadium to be removed, it can be sprayed in batches, and after testing the results, it can be sprayed again in two more batches. After each spraying of the vanadium removal agent into the aluminum liquid using a powder spray tank, the slag can be removed after spraying, and then the temperature can be maintained for 15-25 minutes to allow the vanadium removal agent to fully react with the vanadium in the aluminum liquid. Afterwards, slag removal is performed, and the mixture is left to stand for 30-40 minutes to allow the insoluble substances generated by the reaction to precipitate, thus removing the vanadium from the aluminum liquid.

When the vanadium content is below 100PPM, the dosage of vanadium removal agent should be increased accordingly. The lower the vanadium content, the greater the difficulty of treatment, so the dosage should be increased accordingly.
