Eutectic and hypereutectic aluminum-silicon cast aluminum alloys are widely used in applications such as engine pistons, air conditioning pistons, and various wear-resistant lightweight components. Due to the presence of coarse primary silicon, eutectic silicon, and unavoidable plate-like and needle-like iron phases in the microstructure of eutectic and hypereutectic aluminum alloys, the mechanical properties of the materials are reduced. Therefore, it is necessary to refine the primary silicon and eutectic silicon by adding phosphorus (P) elements, and refine the iron phases by adding manganese (Mn) elements, in order to meet the performance requirements of the components. The aluminum-phosphorus alloy modifier produced by our company belongs to the aluminum-based alloy type. Prepared through advanced nano-melt technology, it can simultaneously refine primary silicon, eutectic silicon, and plate-like iron phases in the microstructure of aluminum alloys. It has technical characteristics such as good refinement effect and environmental friendliness.
Model: SY-PB6 Metallurgical Modifier, used for modifying aluminum liquid in gas furnaces, induction furnaces, and holding furnaces. The modification efficiency of SY-PB6 alloy is very high. At 780℃, add 1 kilogram. With SY-PB6 metallurgical modifier, the increase in P content in 1 ton of aluminum liquid can reach 22~26PPM, and the time required is only 8 minutes. Moreover, the modification effect is good, the purity of the aluminum liquid is high, it will not cause changes in the elements in the alloy, will not increase impurities, and has the effect of refining the iron phase.
Instructions for use
Calculate the addition amount based on the controlled content of P element (see Attached Table 3), and directly add it to the furnace at a temperature of 780℃~850℃. The reaction diffusion time should be >8 minutes.
