This product is formulated with high-phosphorus powder as the primary modifying element, precisely compounded with other elements. It primarily exerts a beneficial modifying effect on eutectic and hypereutectic aluminum-silicon alloys.
• Characteristics: Black-grey cylindrical shape (0.5kg/piece).
• Processing temperature: 780℃~840℃.
• Recommended dosage: Add (0.15~0.35)% based on the weight of the aluminum liquid.
• Applicable alloys: Eutectic aluminum-silicon alloys (such as 108 and 109 alloys) and hypereutectic aluminum-silicon alloys.
• Packaging and storage: Packed in cardboard boxes lined with plastic bags, each weighing 25kg. Please store them properly and strictly prevent them from getting wet.
main advantages
• When added directly into the aluminum liquid, it will automatically sink, eliminating the need for bell jar pressing.
• High phosphorus content, smokeless and environmentally friendly, no reaction slag appears, reducing the burning loss of aluminum liquid.
• It has high thermal conductivity, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, and the casting is easy to process with a high surface finish.
• With long-lasting effectiveness and remelting properties, refining the alloy treated with this modifier will not diminish the modifying effect, but will instead enhance the uniformity of primary silicon distribution.
• The casting exhibits good fluidity, significantly reducing the tendency for shrinkage porosity and shrinkage cavities in the castings, thereby enhancing the yield rate of piston products.
• It melts and absorbs quickly, and during metamorphism, it is essentially smokeless, odorless, non-toxic, not prone to absorbing gas, and does not adhere to crucibles or tools, making it easy to operate.
• Convenient and safe for storage and transportation.
Instructions for use
After the alloy reaches a certain temperature, skim off the slag and directly place the high-phosphorus modifier into the crucible. The product will automatically enter the aluminum liquid. React for 10 to 15 minutes, then let it stand for 10 minutes before refining and casting.
Key points to note
The first is temperature, the second is the amount added, and the third is the standing time
